Rustic Ways to Display Wedding Photographs

Don't let the wonderful memories of your wedding day fade. After the wedding day, many couples struggle to find new ways of displaying their treasured wedding photographs. Though photo frames are functional, they don't always allow for much personality or let couples to show off all the images they want seen. Rustic, homespun mounting methods fit with a bucolic decorating theme or help preserve memories of a casual, outdoor wedding. Use them to integrate a multitude of your photos into your home decor.

Purchase glass lanterns and remove the panes of glass. Place battery-operated tea lights inside. Print copies of your wedding photos onto vellum for a soft effect. Place the panes on the copies of your wedding photos and trace the outline of the glass onto the photos. Cut off the extra paper and replace the panes of glass in the lantern with the photos behind them. The tea lights will produce a subtle glow, illuminating your best-loved images.

Include an old-fashioned dressing screen in your home's decor and affix your photos to its face. To accomplish this, string lengths of ribbon around each panel and knot them tightly at the back of the screen. Slip the photos between the ribbon and screen to keep then in place. If one strand of ribbon on each row is not stable enough, use two parallel ribbons to keep the photos from falling.

String up rows of flexible clothesline on one of your walls and attach your photographs to the line by clothes-pinning them in place. This method lends a rustic appeal to any space, and you can hang dozens of photos at a minimal cost. To secure the clothesline at either end, knot the ends to form a small loop at either end and slip the loops over a nail in the wall at each end.

Paint or purchase wallpaper that resembles a collage of gilded portrait frames and cut out the space inside the frames. Affix your wedding photos behind the paper so it appears to frame your photos. Hang the panels of wallpaper using the clothespin method from section three or attach them to your walls as if they were posters.

DIY Wedding Arches

DIY Wedding Arches: how do you make these? It is a recent application, I have received. Is not a problem! There are a few ways; arches permanent, semi-permanent or non-permanent. The materials used are available on most yards of wood, DIY stores or DIY warehouses. If you have no jurisdiction of carpentry is not important as I have some alternatives.

DIY wedding Arches: Permanent Structures

If the construction of a structure permanent a hypothesis, it is that you build in your back garden/yard and have no skills of carpentry, the arch is very basic. You will first need to decide:

(i) the positioning - take account of the climate, where it y a/vanity, the type of flowers you want to grow your arc
(ii) the width - ideally, there should be wide enough for two people to stand under side by side. The length will depend on the available space personal choice.
(iii) the height - new choice, but between 7 to 8 feet is normal

DIY Wedding Arches: Permanent material for a Structure

Then you need to buy materials, wood, pink bushes / other shrubs and decorations as follows:

amounts of wood a minimum of 4 for the smaller arch, length 9 ? 10 feet (both feet must be cast for stability), minimum diameter of 8 ? /9cm?s. You may be lucky to find some old railway ties, if rustic effect research, or discarded altered telegraph poles.

Ribbon - sufficient to decorate a bare wooden structure. Unless the arc is made one or two years in advance the plants will not be enough to cover the Ark. The Ribbon looks like much woven between lattice.

DIY Wedding Arches: General Assembly of the Structure permanent

You will need a level bubble shovel or hole digger, nails saw, hammer and 6 inches and a pistol.

-dig holes 2 four feet, the front two a minimum of 4 feet apart (width) and the ? 2 back two feet (depth). (Ft rectangle think 4 ft x 2 ?).
-place the four amounts 9 feet in the holes and tempering in firmly, checking with a level of mind that they are vertical.
-place the two feet of 5 1/2 cross beams horizontally strapped across the top of the amounts, then the short remaining two foot 4 beams above their through foot span 2 ?.
-take a six-inch nail and hammer through the two beams cross-vertical below. Or - place the lattice (5 feet x 3 feet ?) amounts and hammer in place.
-place your plants outside the amount and their training to the CRA.
-decorate twist Ribbon autour amounts and cross beams, placing the arcs in four in upper corners. (Or weave Ribbon between the work of network).
-draped the net/tulle on staple gunning the upper cross beam/lattice edges.
-assemble the sides to 3 feet and bind with a suitable large bow

For a dramatic effect added, use florist?s wire and freshly cut, p. flowers such as roses and pink buds and their armor in with some gypsum along the edges. Use a Ribbon of the tonal contrast.

DIY wedding Arches: semi-permanent Structure

Go and buy an ark gardening Kit you hardware. They are generally light and metal in the structure. Assemble according to manufacturers instructions. When sinking into the ground, you will need to place one heavy object (one hand and on the other) through the first horizontal rung to keep the Ark grounded or ensure it is secured firmly to the bottom.

Decorate as above, with tape, net/tulle, real flowers or silk, which can be intermixed with florist wire. Roses (or other plants of your choice) can be planted in free standing bathtubs/polls and placed and part of the arc.

Fresh flowers should be sprayed with of a water mist to keep perky.

DIY wedding Arches: Structure Non permanent

Necessary equipment:

-Hula Hoop
-Ribbon
NET / Tulle
-Real or silk flowers + foliage
-Wire florists
-Beads/Crystal flakes/glass beads
-Two four foot sacred bamboo shoots, Stud 4 feet or sticks of 4 ft

Materials required:

-Drilling with small/find drill bit
-Needles and cotton
-Bottle of mist spray

Image: the decorative floral hula hoop will form a large halo which will take place over the heads of the bride and groom?s by two rods/poles. This is not unlike the Filipino tradition of holding a floral arc over the bride and the groom.

DIY Wedding Arches: No permanent Structure Assembly

Step 1: Take the Hula hoop and Ribbon. Exit 9 inches from the Ribbon to hang. Then start winding the tape around the hula hoop until it is completely covered. When the end allows to 9 inches. Tie a knot with the two ends and make a bow.

Step 2: Take two rods/poles and poke a fine hole through two inches ? down from the top through which florist wire can be passed. After doing this, securely wrap the thread florist?s around the hula hoop and the stems at an angle of 45 degrees with the hoop. Test that the hula hoop is secure by getting two people to take the hula hoop aloft. (If the hoop remains fragile try some electrical tape).

Step 3: From top wrap ribbon around the Summit of the stalks/poles covering florist wire and work downwards to the end finish with a node and bow.

Step 4: Draped the net / tulle on the hula hoop, ? and ??s from the bottom of the stalks/poles with a bow of Ribbon collection.

Step 5: Decorate! The flowers and foliage should be used to decorate the Hula Hoop ring. Sequins, beads of glass/crystals should be used to decorate the centre tulle/net of the hula hoop and edges. The effect is to create a floral sparkling halo held aloft the bride and the groom.

Here's how you can become your own Wedding Planner and save costs vast wedding planning. This is also how you can avoid some of the pitfalls. With these simple rules, you can make your stress free wedding and a memory to cherish more.

It does not matter if you are as poor as a church mouse, or have some species to save. You should certainly not a degree in accounting, hospitality or diplomacy. What you need is a few simple rules.

So, what are they? First of all, you and your partner must define an hour, maybe more, cancellation. During this time, you need to establish or set the ball to the establishment, the number one rule:

Pre wedding activities and hospitality: that is to say the preparations you can make for your wedding guests. Your initial hospitality should be the introduction of your family to another. I would suggest it is a personal matter and restricted to members of two families. You could be present for additional support, if they are not members of the immediate family for your Chief bridesmaid and best man!

I would suggest that hospitality, particularly for guests who travel abroad, and pre wedding activities would include the following information collection:

- the names, addresses, phone numbers, addresses of hotels, B & B?s email
-book hotel rooms to ensure your place close enough housing
-provide maps and instructions on how to achieve distances
-Book baby sitters/nannies for young children
-provide transport for example, coach, or book the taxi/taxi minibus to transmit your guests between the sites and to prevent any temptation for drunkenness
-Check your itineraries for road tolls and to appoint a groomsman to the kiosk to pay tolls with provided you have given enough coins
-provide the names, addresses and telephone numbers of hairdressing and beauty salons, so guest can reserve the services they need
-provide the names, addresses, telephone numbers of cleaning facilities to dry
-provide local chemist or pharmacy addresses
-Coordinates of the emergency for overseas guests
-marriage allergies.

Having studied all of the foregoing, collect details and ask your printer to gather information. Alternatively, you can have your own Secretary who would be willing to help. If it does not get those fingers tapping! Finally, you can send the information with your wedding announcement.

Instructions for DIY wedding favor:

-Cut out an equal number of round the tulle circles
-cut or use pre-cut cards to write your message on

-place the almond sweet in the Middle

Recipe for Sweet Almonds DIY wedding favors:

Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup water
1 cup blanched almonds
(1 cup = 4 oz = 100 g) (1 Cup = 300 ml liquid)
In a saucepan to dissolve sugar in water. Bring to boil the Mix 240 degrees f. in blanched almonds, take off heat until they stick together. Place on a plate or Tin to cool and set.

Second coating:
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup water

Repeat as above, ensuring once more that do not stick almonds. This process must be repeated in its entirety to enough almonds for all your guests.

Another recipe
1 cup blanched almonds (375 g)
1/3 cup (150 g) icing/confectioners sugar
1 egg white
Beat together sugar and egg white. Add the mixture the almonds, while mantle. Spread on a plank of wood to dry. Repeat this process until what il y has enough almonds for 5 or 7 per guest.
