Australian marriages, make the Aussie way

Australian marriages: are international in nature and are a multicultural case, so much so that there is no such thing as a traditional marriage in Australia! Let me explain. There were two distinct groups in the Australia. the Aboriginal Aboriginal who arrived in 40 ? 80 000 years ago and European migrants lead by the English in 1788. Recently, the communities of Europe, but Africa, Asia and the United States all brought their customs and their religions/faiths with them that survived.

Why so many international marriage customs have survived in Australia?

Interfaith marriages between Aboriginal people and others have been banned. 1890?s legislation prevented these marriages. Migrants tend to remain in their communities and not mix with other groups of migrants. The geographic distances between dwellings were such communities married within communities. It was therefore a situation perfect to preserve as many different international customs and traditions. Australian marriages today still tend to reflect the pedigree of couples. Interreligious marriages are more forbidden, but the trend is to recognize the two cultural origins of parties?.

Marriages indigenous Australians:

There were more than a 100 native tribes. Each tribe would have been subdivided into ?bands?, comprising 2 ? 3 families. This has led to more than 200 languages and 600 dialects in the Aboriginal community. Their cultural history was transmitted orally, as a result, there is exceptionally little documentation. What we know, is that there was a general acceptance of marriages of polygamy and inter-band to strengthen communities. Today, the indigenous tribes key are the Koori of Victoria and NSW, Murri in Southern Queensland, wa South Noongar , Nunga in southern SA, Anangu in her North and adjacent to WA and the northern territory. Today, Aboriginal elders accuse the children of ?going way? white man?s, i.e. marrying for love, and in the European tradition.
