This lantern is composed of a single color. See below for a multi coloured Lantern.

-Draw a rectangle. For a small single color lantern, try the following sizes and shapes ? 11 cm x 10 cm, 13 cm x 12.5 cm and 15 cm x 14 cm ?.
-Fold in half lengthwise, then fold down 1 cm of the top edges.
-With your pencil very lightly mark the pleat another descendant of 3 cm in the fold of the first. (Or to avoid a pencil mark, fold the paper). Cut the paper to the line. Sections can be wide or close, the desired effect.
-With the wider cut pieces add some more tiny reductions, or use trade punches or take the blow, to add a few additional decorations.
-Cut the top ply of triangles or hole/craft punch to give a decorative fringe.
-Open the lantern and paste the short sides together. Hold in place with two clothing end Exchange rate or clamp, to dry.
-Cut a strip of paper crepe and affix the two ends equal distance separated within the rim of the lantern to a loop hanging Lantern. Alternatively, you can buy some Ribbon or color string to form the loop.

DIY Chinese lanterns of marriage: how to make a Multi colour Lantern

The simplest way is to have a different color on the inside and outside. This is easily achieved by cutting the same rectangle sizes in two different colours. Place one rectangle above the other and then follow the instructions exactly as shown above.

Alternatively, you can add some benchmarks. It is easier to achieve with a larger size lantern, e.g. 23 cm x 21 cm, 25 cm x 23 cm, or 27 x 24.5 cm.

-Cut paper crepe to your size. Fold longitudinally into two and fold down the top two bands 1 cm each as you did for the Lantern above. Take the first fold of your pencil down 5 cm line, or fold the paper to avoid a pencil mark.
-Get your paper contrasted. (This works exactly in the same for one, two or three colors). Cut one or more contrasting strips of the same length as the Lantern, but only 10 cm deep. Fold in half. Each contrasting band just below the upper edge folded on each side of the glue. (According to the number of bands that they will have to be staggered accordingly.)
-As with the first Lantern cut clits until the pencil line the entire length of the paper and decorate by cutting into additional shapes with the scissors or by using paper punches.
-Now cut fringe, scallops or hole punched contrasting bands, one at a time. Cutting holes/forms will reveal the flat below replacement.
-Finally, as indicated above, to take place the lantern and glue the edges together. So that the decorative to stand just fringe it cut with scissors when pasted. Add a loop to hang the Lantern, as you did previously.

Chinese DIY wedding lanterns: gold lettering/symbols

There are some Chinese symbols considered very promising/lucky letters. Do your research on the symbols relating to the year you were born. Those apply to you and perhaps a lucky dragon and phoenix and photocopying. Forms in gold color. Cut out them and artistically placed on lanterns. You can add glitter for Gold just to highlight.
